My name is Patty Halsey. I would love to “de-mystify” Medicare for you and your loved ones! My diverse professional background includes my early life in Southern California working in healthcare (ICU Tech in a SICU/Level One Trauma Unit in a big city hospital) and higher education (multicultural program administration and teaching Speech Communication at the university-level). After moving to the Pacific Northwest, I channeled my skills and experience down new paths as a Special Events/Foundation Director for Ronald McDonald House Charities, a Business Consultant with a national hospitality industry client base in the high-end resort space, and even as the Business Manager for my local Chamber of Commerce. I’ve had a great professional life filled with public facing roles, travel, multi-million dollar accounts to manage, challenges to resolve and exciting, inspiring encounters with some of the smartest, coolest people on this earth. It never occurred to me to explore the health and Medicare insurance business long ago. Truthfully, I imagined the work and environment to be rather cold and stuffy, the absolute OPPOSITE of me, a smiling optimist and extrovert who occasionally can be seen on stage in local musicals! When I was offered the chance to enter the insurance industry, I found out very quickly how wrong I was about being an health insurance broker. This role allows me to care more deeply, share a trusted bond with my clients more profoundly than any client relationship I have ever experienced in thirty years. I love my clients. Their steady list of referrals suggest the feeling is mutual 😁Nothing is more rewarding and satisfying than helping a new client understand Medicare in clear, simple terms, especially after learning that their stress and worry about Medicare enrollment, and current or pending health concerns, had been keeping them up at night. I’m sure my colleagues who sell home and auto insurance must shake their heads and wonder why so many of my clients conclude our meeting with a warm hug, sincere thank yous and, sometimes, even thank you gifts. It’s because they are RELIEVED now that they know they have a trusted advocate in me. Helping my clients navigate Medicare is an honor and responsibility I take very seriously. Let me help you too!
