Tell us a little about your family.
I am a single parent with four young adult. When their father worked out on us 21 years ago, I didn't think I will live to tell the story. I raised them alone from when there were 4yr, 2yr, 1yr and I was 6month pregnant. Today they are 25yr, 23yr, 22, and 20yr. The journey of single parenting prepared me in so many ways towards my carrier path today. The success of me and my children made me to believe that there is no limit to what anyone can be in life. You just need to believe.
Why did you become a Medicare agent?
When I was with Johns Hopkins HomeCare Group, I saw how confused so many senior citizens are regarding Medicare enrollment process, and how their plans were messed up by rushing insurance agents. I was moved with compassion to be that one person that will get it done right for them. When I look at my 87yr mom, I am compelled to treat my clients the way I want her to be treated.
