Mary Salmon is a dedicated Medicare agent with a passion for helping individuals make informed healthcare decisions. When her children were young, she wanted a career that would give her the flexibility to spend more time with them. In 2002, she found that opportunity in the voluntary benefits market as an Aflac agent. This allowed her to provide valuable coverage options while being present for her family. Over the years, she has built a career rooted in education and trust. She has always believed that the key to serving her clients is to be a trusted advisor—helping them understand their options so they can make the best choices for themselves and their families. As her children grew and her clients began to age, she started receiving more questions about Medicare. Seeing the need, she made the decision in 2021 to become a certified Medicare agent. Now, Mary specializes in guiding individuals through the Medicare process, helping them understand their options and ensuring a smooth transition to Medicare. Mary's focus is always on providing excellent customer service—it's her #1 priority. She takes pride in educating her clients so they can feel confident and secure in their healthcare choices. Mary is a native Texan and lives on a 45-acre ranch in north Texas with her husband. She is an avid reader and gardener and enjoys spending time with their three daughters and three grandchildren.

Questions Mary gets asked
Do you prefer mountains or beaches?
I love both mountains and beaches. The mountains are so calming and serene and I especially love the valleys with mountain streams running through them. But beaches are probably my favorite. I love the waves coming onto the beach and soaking up the sun. I'm a huge believer in "grounding" and in getting my Vitamin D naturally through sun exposure. It is amazing how reguvenating it is to be at the beach for even an hour.
What hobby or pastime do you enjoy most?
I love gardening -- flowers and vegetables. I especially love container and raised bed gardening. I love growing things. I also like to crochet and make blankets/throws for my family. And of course I am a big reader and love to read books by Nora Roberts, JD Robb and many other authors.
What's a favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memories are the family reunions we went to every year. We would have a weekend every summer where the extended family - even 2nd and 3rd cousins - would go camping at the old "home" place where my great-grandparents lived and raised their children. So I am fortunate that I have relationships with extended family where so many people nowadays don't even know their 2nd cousins.
Tell us a little about your family.
I am married and have 3 beautiful daughters. All three of them are grown and my oldest daughter has 3 children of her own. We have lived in North Texas (north of the DFW metroplex) for over 36 years.
Where did you grow up?
I have lived in Texas my entire life. I'm a proud 6th generation Texan. I was born in North Texas and then raised in West Texas. After high school graduation I moved back to North Texas where I have lived ever since.
