With over 40 years of experience in the insurance industry, Mark Staffen brings a wealth of knowledge and proven leadership to Core Insurance Advisors. Mark began his career as a Sales Agent in Los Angeles, California, where he quickly became one of the top-producing agents in the market. His passion for the industry, his colleagues, and the communities he served led him to hold leadership roles across Sales, Marketing, and Operations. As one of the early pioneers in designing and implementing physician co-op marketing programs, Mark helped physicians directly compete for Medicare Advantage market share within their communities. He also played an instrumental role in the national expansion of Medicare Advantage plans, spearheading product launches for Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, HealthFirst HMO, Sun Health MediSun, Cigna/HealthSpring, and Humana. Many of today’s top companies continue to benefit from the foundations he and his teams built, as well as from the many associates he hired and mentored along the way. Today, in his role with Core Insurance Advisors, Mark oversees day-to-day operations with a focus on empowering agents and agencies with the tools, training, and resources they need to grow their presence in the Medicare space. He also works directly with individuals, corporations, and providers — helping seniors and employees approaching retirement sort through the often-confusing maze of Medicare to make clear, confident decisions. Outside of his professional life, Mark is an avid golfer, author, and amateur home chef. He believes the best way to reach one’s personal goals is by helping others reach theirs.
