About Julie
Hi, my name is Julie, I am your local Medicare advisor and broker. With over 15 years of experience in the insurance industry, I am passionate about helping individuals navigate their Medicare options with confidence and clarity. I take pride in offering personalized guidance, helping clients choose coverage that fits their healthcare needs, lifestyle, and budget. I am the co-founder of Forthright Retirement Solutions with my husband, Ted, where we have built a family-owned business centered on trust, service, and long-term relationships. I have been recognized as a Top Broker in 2019, 2020 & 2023 for my dedication, expertise, and service to clients. In addition to Medicare Supplements and Medicare Advantage plans, I also helps clients with Life Insurance, Final Expense, Long Term Care solutions, and ancillary products that help cover the gaps where Medicare leaves off. The roles I am most proud of are wife, mother of three daughters, and proud grandmother of six, and I treasure time with family. What makes you most proud in your career?
What makes me most proud in my career is really the journey over the last 15 years. During that time, I've been honored to rank in the top five in my field multiple times, which has been such a rewarding milestone. And about three years ago, my husband and I took the leap and opened our own office for financial services. I specialize in Medicare, and he focuses on retirement planning, wealth management, and all those important long term goals. It's been incredible to build something of our own where we each bring our expertise to the table to help people in a truly personal way.
What's your favorite movie or TV show of all time?
My favorite movies of all time are A Charlie Brown Christmas and It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. They're especially meaningful to me because my grandfather was one of the animators for the Charlie Brown cartoons. Growing up with that family connection makes these movies more than just holiday classics - they're a cherished part of my family history.
What's the most amazing trip you've ever taken?
The most amazing trip I've ever taken was definitely our trip to Bermuda. I've never been anywhere with warmer, friendlier people - and you just feel completely safe because there's basically no crime. We zipped around the island on a scooter, swam & snorkeled in the clearest blue waters, and ate the best food ever. It was honestly the most magical trip we've ever been on.
What's the most adventurous thing you've ever done?
The most adventurous thing I've ever done was hiking The Narrows in Zion National Park - in the winter. It was snowing, and the water was absolutely freezing. Hiking through ice-cold water definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone, but it also showed me I was capable of doing something I never thought I could. It was challenging, unforgettable, and incredibly empowering. Next on my list is repelling.
Why did you become a Medicare agent?
I became a Medicare agent because when my husband was working in life insurance, he saw a lot of his clients aging into Medicare. We realized we could offer them a trusted, one-stop solution by combining my Medicare expertise with his move from life insurance into retirement planning. It was especially meaningful to help our own parents through that transition and give all our clients peace of mind for both healthcare and retirement.
