About Jeremy
Jeremy and Laura are the proud new owners of WAHIP. Since 2020, Jeremy has worked in various corners of the health insurance industry. From working directly for an insurance carrier, working as an agent under another agency, to now operating an agency, he has a broad view of the health insurance industry. Born and raised in Kalispell, Montana, Jeremy learned the value of honesty, integrity, and hard work. He moved to Washington in 2008 to attend Pacific Lutheran University, where he graduated from in 2012. Jeremy and Laura are now proud to call Bellingham home and feel blessed to raise their family here. WAHIP specializes in everything Medicare, while also helping those under the age of 65 navigate their health insurance options. Health insurance has so many moving parts and pieces and can be very difficult to understand at times. It is our goal to make sure that everyone comprehends the plan they are enrolling in and to be an ongoing resource after the plan is put in place.

What's your favorite local place to visit in your area?
I love Zuanich park and the Squalicum Harbor area. There is nothing more Bellingham than being surrounded by sail boats with views of Bellingham Bay and Mount Baker to the east. We live in a stunningly beautiful area.
What's your favorite holiday tradition?
Growing up, we would go to dinner at the Bigfork Inn in Bigfork, MT every Christmas Eve for a fancy dinner. Afterward, we would drive around looking at lights on our way home. Nowadays, my favorite holiday tradition is attending the Christmas Eve service at our church. Many years, our family has musical/singing opportunities at the church and it's a meaningful experience.
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in beautiful Kalispell, MT. Surrounded by the Rocky Mountains and within 30 minutes of Flathead Lake & Glacier National Park. It was an incredible place to be a child, and I'm grateful for the 18 years I spent there. I still have some family who lives there, and we visit at least annually.
What do you enjoy most about helping people with Medicare?
I enjoy getting to know each of my clients at a personal level. Without doing that, I don't feel like I can advise on the proper coverage effectively. I enjoy seeing the light bulb turn on for people. Most come in bewildered by the path ahead, but leave with clarity and confidence in their selection. I truly take each person's situation personally and hold myself accountable for securing the gaps in their coverage.
Why did you become a Medicare agent?
I was looking for a career that made a real difference in my community. When I was a child, my father helped seniors protect and grow their income as a financial advisor. I always wanted to be like him, but decided working with investments wasn't a passion of mine. Fortuitously, I was introduced to a career in the Medicare sector and a light bulb turned on. I found a real passion in guiding my community members through the complexities of their Medicare coverage choices. That was back in 2019 and I haven't looked back. This is a true heart project for me, and I'm grateful to work in this field every day.
